About
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Client-Centered Therapy and completed the Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I believe in creating a safe and comfortable environment to allow my clients the opportunity to grow, change and feel empowered. I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health care and believe everyone deserves a safe space to process what is going on in their life, to be understood and to be heard. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, reading, watching movies/shows, and listening to music and podcasts.
If I'm not in network with your insurance, and your plan has out-of-network benefits, you could get reimbursed for part of the session fee (some insurances reimburse up to 80 percent of the fee!) You can check your benefits here: mentaya.com/b/marcimyer
